Grief Support:

In training as a Grief Doula Specialist through the International Doula Life Movement, and moving through a grief work course through the Institute for the Study of Birth, Breath and Death, Alix has acquired skills while learning within these settings to help folks navigate their grief processes. Also, having undergone many personal grief processes herself throughout her life, Alix is situated at a potent crossroads, capable of understanding and holding space for others’ pain.

Gentle 1:1 support for navigating loss—with presence, ritual, and care.

Grief takes many forms. Whether you’re mourning the death of a loved one, grieving the end of a relationship, sitting with the quiet ache of job loss, or honoring the passing of a beloved pet—your sorrow is real, and it deserves space.

As a trained End of Life Doula and Grief Companion & Specialist, I offer non-clinical, heart-centered support for people moving through loss. I am not a therapist. I don’t diagnose or “fix.” I companion you—through conversation, quiet presence, simple ritual, and embodied practices that invite healing in your own time.

You might come to see me if:

  • You feel alone in your grief, and want a calm, non-judgmental listener.

  • You’re looking for gentle structure to move through stuck places—rituals, journaling prompts, or guided meditation.

  • You’re grieving something that doesn’t always “count” in the eyes of the world: a breakup, job loss, estrangement, or the death of an animal companion.

  • You want to honor someone or something you’ve lost in a way that’s sacred and personal.

What I offer:

  • 1:1 Grief Companioning Sessions (60-minute, virtual or in-person)

  • Guided visualizations and meditations

  • Rituals to honor anniversaries, transitions, and thresholds

  • Journaling prompts and practices

  • Optional voice note support between sessions

Session Packages:

  • Single Session – $85

  • 3-Session Series – $240

  • 6-Session Deep Support Package – $450

Sliding scale available upon request. I believe grief support should be accessible.

End of Life Care:

Alix trained and was certified as an End of Life Doula through The Dying Year in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2021. In this training, she learned about the dying process and fine tuned her knowledge and understanding of what it entails.

What I Offer as an End of Life Doula:

  • Gentle, consistent companionship for individuals nearing end of life—emotional, spiritual, and practical support tailored to each person’s needs.

  • Deep listening and presence—offering comfort, conversation, or quiet space for reflection.

  • Collaborative relationship-building with the dying person and their loved ones to foster trust and ease.

  • Comfort care support: light touch, soothing presence, breathing practices, and non-medical physical support as appropriate.

  • Legacy writing: guided conversations to capture personal stories, reflections, messages, and memories in a meaningful document or recording.

  • Guidance and presence during the dying process, including vigil planning and sitting bedside.

  • Advocacy and support in navigating hospice care—ensuring your needs are communicated clearly and compassionately.

  • Light household support, such as simple meal prep, tidying, or errand assistance when needed.

  • Space-holding for anticipatory grief—compassionate conversations around fear, letting go, and what may lie ahead.

  • A calming presence so loved ones can take time for rest, nourishment, and self-care.

Note: I do not provide medical care or treatments. My role is complementary to hospice and palliative care, focusing on emotional, spiritual, and practical support in the sacred time surrounding death.
